Tickets that remain for the Dodgers’ upcoming three-game series against the New York Yankees won’t be sold through normal channels, team spokesman Josh Rawitch said.

Rawitch said the ‘very, very limited number of tickets’ that are still available are expected to be sold out in a special Internet-only promotion that was advertised to followers of the team’s Twitter account. He would not say how many tickets remain unsold.

‘We’re essentially sold out,’ Rawitch said. ‘We have a limited number of scattered seats throughout the stadium.’

Tickets for the Yankees series, which starts on Friday, were initially only sold as part of 14-game ticket packages. They were later made available as part of seven-game ticket packages.

Before the unsold tickets were made available to the Dodgers’ Twitter followers, they were offered to members of their four free Web-based fan clubs -- Boys in Blue, Women in Blue, Viva Azul and Jr. Dodgers.
