Dodgers’ Web musings: A New York state of mind

The media capital of the entire universe has descended upon Los Angeles to chronicle Joe Torre managing against his former team, the New York Yankees.

Mostly it’s been happy-reunion time. More warm and fuzzy than you might expect from those hard-hitting New York journalists.

But then Torre has that affect on people, being genuine and honest. And there is that little matter of four World Series titles in five years.
Here’s a sampling of how the New York-area media previewed this weekend’s three-game, Dodgers-Yankees series:

-- The New York Post’s Mike Vaccaro says Torre’s unpleasant departure should not stand in the way of the memory of all he accomplished for the Yankees.
