Dodgers: Furcal activated, Sherrill to DL

The Dodgers put reliever George Sherrill on the disabled list today because of a strained back. The move cleared a roster spot for the Dodgers to activate shortstop Rafael Furcal.

Sherrill is 0-1 with a 7.36 ERA this season, although he had been unscored upon in six of his past seven outings.
