Mondays can be tough at the office. You’ve just returned from a weekend of relaxation and now it’s time to get back to the grind, so we try to make things a little easier by revisiting the weekend fun with #weekendeats. Every Monday at 9:30 a.m., we host a #weekendeats chat on Twitter, where people tweet us pictures and recipes of what they ate over the weekend using the #weekendeats hashtag.

This week, there were plenty of sweet and savory eats, as well as cocktails to keep us salivating at our desks. On the sweet side, Hulk cut-out green tea and chocolate cookies from JustJennRecipes.com. The cookies feature a green tea Hulk cookie face and chocolate cookie hair. I can definitely see these being a hit at birthday parties. For something a little different, Aliya LeeKong shared a recipe for Seera, a buttery cake dessert made with semolina or cream of wheat.

On the savory side, Sipsandspoonfuls.com shared a recipe for creamy pea and mint spaghetti with snap peas, made for writer Sukaina’s daughter, who was under the weather. Teenytinykitchen.com spiced things up with homemade tater tots and cheddar habanero sauce. You really can’t go wrong with this one. For starters, they are tots, so that’s an instant win; and two, who wouldn’t want to dunk a whole lot of anything into some cheddar habanero sauce? Also adding a little heat to the mix was Foodwanderings.com with a recipe for corn and jalapeño roll mini sliders.

The libations were aplenty this week, with a deep purple blueberry mojito adult snow cone from Mymansbelly.com and margarita meltaway tequila cookies from Buttercreamblondie.com to accompany any tequila drink.

After the chat, we ask people to upload pictures of their #weekendeats to our What did you eat this weekend? photo gallery. We’ll feature some of the photos right here on Daily Dish, so be sure to check back for more #weekendeats fun throughout the week.

Hope to see everyone next Monday morning on Twitter! It’s sure to be a drool-worthy good time.
