Top Chefs team up to fight hunger

Nyeshaarrington

"Top Chef" friends Nyesha Arrington, who almost made it back on "Last Chance Kitchen," and Chris "Malibu" Crary are teaming up to roast a pig for charity. Proceeds from their backyard pig roast at Arrington's Wilshire Restaurant on April 22 will go toward Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation: Los Angeles and to help stamp out childhood hunger.

Arrington and Crary, chef at Whist, were fan favorites on the most recent season of the popular "Top Chef." Other contestants will help out, including Alex Reznik, Antonia LaFaso, Ilan Hall, Jamie Lauren, Marcel Vigneron and CJ Jacobson, as well as "Top Chef: Just Desserts" contestants Sally Camacho and Danielle Keene and "Top Chef Masters'" Mark Peel and Suzanne Tracht

They'll be preparing pulled pork, pork belly, spareribs and pig's ears. There will also be mixologists (of course): Devon Espinosa of Pour Vous and Michel Dozois of Neve Ice. Firestone Walker Brewing, Smog City Brewing and Haven Gastropub + Brewery will be pouring and the lads from Handsome Coffee will be pulling espressos.

Wilshire Restaurant, 2454 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica. Tickets are $55 and can be purchased online.
