KCRW's Evan Kleiman pops up at the Charleston

Evan Kleiman of KCRW's "Good Food" will be a guest chef at the Charleston, chef Jet Tila's newly opened Santa Monica restaurantEvan Kleiman of KCRW's "Good Food" will be a guest chef at the Charleston, chef Jet Tila's newly opened Santa Monica restaurant, on Monday, May 7. Kleiman is set to prepare a four-course menu highlighting rustic Italian favorites from her Melrose Avenue restaurant, Angeli Caffe, which closed recently after 27 years.

On the menu are antipasti misti, Caesar salad, gnocchetti di ricotta, linguine vongole, roast chicken, lasagne Angeli verdura, tiramisu and chocolate chunk bread pudding, all served family style. Two seatings are being offered, 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., at $45 per person. Call for reservations.
