Anthony Bourdain: Now a publishing magnate as well?

The media tornado that is Anthony Bourdain has announced the first three authors to be published under his imprint at Ecco books, and let's just say he seems to have found some brothers between the covers.

Leading off the list is Los Angeles' food truck impresario Roy Choi, whose first book has the working title "Spaghetti Junction: Riding Shotgun with an L.A. Chef." Bourdain has also tapped Texas writer David Vaughn for a book on the state's legendary barbecue scene, currently called "Prophets of Smoked Meat." And then for something completely different (well, not really), kickboxing champion Mark Miller is working on a memoir, "Fight Shark."

Bourdain, a long-time chef, leaped to fame with his tell-all "Kitchen Confidential," which landed him a shot on Travel Channel, where his "No Reservations" quickly became the backbone of the network's programming. And the rest is history.

Last year, Ecco president Daniel Halpern signed Bourdain for his own line of books at the prestigious publisher. All three books are scheduled to be released in 2013.
