Remember the story line in ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ in which Larry David is accused of setting a glass on a wooden table sans coaster and leaving a ring? (Spoiler: He didn’t do it.)

People get to talking, drinking, and they get careless. But if you leave enough coasters around — and eye-catching ones — maybe, just maybe, they’ll get used.
