Root vegetable love

Yam LargerHave a favorite root vegetable? Or just crazy about mushrooms? You can declare your love for that treasured ingredient with a botanical print pillow from graphic designer Wendy Furman of Whim & Caprice.

I first saw these on Remodelista and bookmarked the information for later use (or giving). Made by hand, the pillow covers are pre-washed muslin canvas and include a feather/down insert.

Designs include artichoke, yam, turnip and squash and are either 20 by 20 inches or 24 by 24 inches. Look at the whole line. You just might go for the onions or the mushroom print instead of the yam or turnip.

Whim & Caprice, (707) 967 8233, www.whimandcaprice.com. Contact wendy @wendyfurman.com. Pillow covers and inserts, 20" x 20", $85; 24" x 24", $120.
