Cecconi's: It's that time of year again -- white truffle season. Cecconi's restaurant is celebrating with its white truffle dinner tonight, November 16. This truly indulgent experience is $220 per person and $300 with wine pairings. Guests will be served a five-course menu (even dessert includes truffles): cream of cauliflower soup with white truffle; kobe beef tartare, topped with quail egg and white truffle; leek and sunchoke risotto with white truffle; wood-roasted scallops with white truffle; and chocolate fondant with white truffle gelato. Call for reservations. 8764 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, (310) 432-0000, www.cecconiswesthollywood.com.

Tony's Darts Away: On Nov. 21, vegan bar Tony's Darts Away is holding a fundraiser for the Beagle Freedom Project, a nonprofit in North Hollywood. Half of all proceeds from every vegan hot dog sold will benefit the project. Additionally, for every Golden Road beer sold from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., $1 from the purchase will be donated to the cause. 1710 W. Magnolia Blvd. Burbank, www.tonysda.com.

Cochon 555: Tickets are on sale now for the Cochon 555 tour, an event that educates the public about heritage pig breeds and promotes a natural and sustainable food system. The 10-city culinary competition and tasting tour begins in January and will be in Los Angeles on May 6. During the tour, 50 chefs are selected to prepare a "snout-to-tail" menu created from five different heritage breed pigs. Tickets are $125 and can be purchased online.
