Ozomatli and Street: L.A. band Ozomatli and restaurant Street have teamed up for an event on Aug. 25 that brings you around the world in music and flavors. ‘Macrotize Me’: M Cafe is challenging diners to submit their favorite comfort food dish to receive a macrobiotic makeover by chef Lee Gross. Beginning Aug. 15, diners can submit their requests along with an explanation as to why your dish should be ‘macrotized’ via Facebook or Twitter over the next two weeks. Valley Beer Festival: On Aug. 20, The Lakes in Thousand Oaks will hold a fundraising event for Alliance of the Arts, an organization that helps elementary schools that lack arts education programs and/or access to cultural arts.
