3 Food Events: Clos du Val supper; Epicurean Festival; Ramen Bull
This post has been corrected. See the note at the bottom for details.
Ramen Bull: Ramen Bull is approaching its last month at Breadbar's West 3rd Street location. For the last few months, the eatery has featured chef Noriyuki Sugie's (of Ironnori) contemporary take on Japan and China's traditional street fare. The series includes all-beef ramen dishes: short rib ramen, oxtail ramen, beef tongue ramen, spicy ramen and corned beef ramen. Ramen Bull is Monday through Saturday, from 5 to 10 p.m., through Sept. 30. 8718 W. 3rd St., L.A., (310) 205-0124, breadbar.net.
Crush & Harvest Tasting: Napa Valley Grille celebrates California Wine Month with wine-related events happening at the Westwood restaurant throughout the month of September, including a four-course tasting menu on Sept. 28. The supper, by chef Joseph Gillard, will feature wine pairings from Clos du Val Winery, such as a 2008 Carneros Chardonnay and a 2005 District Cabernet Sauvignon. Tickets are $55 per person, and reservations can be made by calling (310) 824-3322. 1100 Glendon Ave., Suite 100, L.A., (310) 824-3322, napavalleygrille.com.
L.A. Epicurean Festival: This Sunday, Aug. 28, Sofitel hosts the Los Angeles Epicurean Festival with more than 500 boutique wines, specialty foods -- charcuterie, mushrooms and cheeses, among other gourmet bites -- and mixology and food demonstrations (courtesy of K-Zo, La Cachette and L'Epicerie). General admission is $75 and VIP tickets are per person. 8555 Beverly Blvd., L.A., laepicureanfestival.com.
[For the Record, 11:10 a.m. Sept. 26: An earlier version of this post stated that the Napa Valley Grille tasting menu supper would take place Sept. 27.]
