Northern Thai BBQ: Chef Kris Yenbamroong of Night + Market at Talésai is barbecuing northern Thai-style with specialties from Chieng Rai and Isan on Sunday. After hauling back three sausage grills from a recent visit to northern Thailand, the barbecue’s main food of focus will be two types of sausage, sai uah and sai krok Isan, in addition to other dishes like the nuoc mam chicken wings, pork satay skewers, moo daeng pork ribs and a catfish tamale. A pop-up wine bar will also be on hand, offering wines other than Riesling for a non-predictable pairing. International Tea Festival: Sample white, green, black, rooibos, oolong and other flavors of tea of worldly origins on Aug. 13 and 14. Authors, industry experts, retailers, educators and tea-lovers come together for a weekend-long festival at the Japanese American National Museum.
