Ricardo Zarate -- chef at Peruvian restaurant Mo-Chica and the forthcoming Picca who recently was named a Food & Wine best new chef -- is going kosher. For a day. Zarate is teaming up with chef Alex Reznik (whom you may recall from ‘Top Chef’) at La Seine, the Beverly Hills restaurant that serves contemporary California cuisine and also happens to be kosher.

Zarate and Reznik plan an omakase-style tasting dinner on May 31, serving 10 people at the La Seine sushi bar. There will be two seatings, one at 7 p.m. and another at 9 p.m. The cost is $120 per person. Call the restaurant for reservations (reservations will not be accepted via Open Table for this event).
