New classes scheduled at La Varenne in Santa Monica

Renowned cooking teacher Anne Willan, author of dozens of cookbooks and former proprietor of the La Varenne Cooking School in Burgundy, France, will again be hosting chefs in her Santa Monica home kitchen for a series of informal cooking classes.

Featured this spring will be Sal Marino of Il Grano on June 11 and Ben Bailly of Fraiche on June 25. A pair of fall classes has also been scheduled, tentatively featuring Michael McCarty of Michael’s, and Alain Giraud of the work-in-progress Maison Giraud. Each demonstration and tasting class is $250 per student.
