Recipe of the (rainy) day: Seafood chowder
When it rains in L.A., everything comes to a halt. (Especially the traffic.) Unfortunately, this cold, rainy weather isn't letting up for at least 36 hours, according to the gloomy forecast for downtown Los Angeles.
So (don't tell my boss) I am going to cut out early today, go home and make this New England-style seafood chowder.

Times Test Kitchen manager Noelle Carter nabbed the chowder recipe from Annabelle's Keg and Chowder House in Ketchikan, Alaska, for a recent Culinary SOS column. I think it will do just the trick on this rainy day.
How are you fending off this unfriendly weather?

I see a step that asks me to add seafood broth. I don't see seafood broth prior to that - neither in the ingriedients or in the directions. Am I missing something?
