Get fresh: GatherGreen.com, a Los Angeles-based conscious-living group-buying site, is launching its first ever Green Gathering tonight. Its theme is sustainable agriculture, and it’s made up of activities including a screening of the movie ‘Fresh,’ a panel on the topic of the night, followed by cocktails, mingling and music (including a DJ that spins powered by solar energy). The evening will take place at the hip Vortex Immersion Dome at L.A. Center Studios. Tickets are available on the website.

Star quality: May 13 is the second-annual Stars of Paso Robles on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. From 7 to 9:30 p.m. outside, under the stars, guests can learn about wine and taste with options from 26 different participating wineries.

A drive away: Sunset magazine has launched ticket sales and posted this year’s website for SAVOR the Central Coast, which will be held at the Santa Margarita Ranch in San Luis Obispo this fall. For four days, from Sept. 29 to Oct. 2, enjoy wine from more than 200 Central Coast wineries; seminars with Sunset’s wine, food, travel and garden editorial staff, as well as local farmers and celebrity chefs (including Cat Cora); hikes; kayaking;, paddleboarding; balloons that allow you to fully see the location; and more.

Plenty of pie: One of Southern California’s longest running pie festivals is back. On June 12, the Beverly Hills farmers’ market will be hosting its annual pie competition. Contestants can enter now. The deadline is May 29. The event itself will include pony rides, a petting zoo, musical entertainment, a pie eating contest, cooking for kids and, of course, the competition itself. Pies must be made from scratch, and only with fruit from California. For more information, call (310) 285-6830.
