Coming Sunday: Edible Book Festival presented by Culver City Friends of the Library

Olivertwist Book lover? Food lover? Great! Combine both those passions Sunday at the Culver City Friends of the Library's third annual Edible Book Fair.

Choose a book title, imagine how that would be played out in food, and make it using edible ingredients (you can use non-edible props to help if needed).

Awrinkleintime The event will be held in downtown Culver City at Gyenari, from 1 to 4 p.m. Judges include Vicky Fan (formerly of Beacon), Clemence Gossett of Gourmandise Desserts and ... yours truly.

Theveryhungrycaterpillar Prizes include gift certificates to Culver City restaurants including Ford's Filling Station, Waterloo & City and Akasha. Or win a chance at a new Sony e-reader in the raffle; tickets are $1 apiece.

Check out the website for entry information and inspiration from photo galleries of the 2009 and 2010 events.
