Rush Limbaugh criticizes First Lady Michelle Obama's weight, nutritional campaign [Updated]
Not to put too fine a point on it, but Rush Limbaugh is talking smack about First Lady Michelle Obama's weight? Rush Limbaugh? And Michelle "you-can-cut-glass-with-my-chiseled-biceps" Obama?
As you well know, Michelle Obama has been taking plenty of criticism from the right for her nutritional campaign to encourage kids to move more and eat healthier fare. Joining her in the campaign is retail giant Wal-Mart, which recently announced it would begin reducing the sodium and fat in many of its prepared foods.
Listen to the audio, above, as Limbaugh ridicules Michelle Obama's healthy-eating campaign, flat out calls her a "hypocrite." On one hand, Limbaugh said, she is encouraging children to get healthy and eat "roots, berries, and tree bark" but was recently seen enjoying a high-calorie meal of fatty ribs.
"The problem is, and dare I say this, it doesn't look like Michelle Obama follows her own nutritionary, dietary advice...I'm trying to say that our First Lady does not project the image of women that you might see on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue or of a woman Alex Rodriguez might date every six months or what have you."
So, what do you think? I especially want to hear from the dittoheads (are they still called that?). Do you think Limbaugh went too far with his comments? Or do you chalk this up to the liberal media's favorite pastime: Criticizing Rush.
But more importantly, do you think Michelle Obama is a hypocrite?
Leave your thoughts in the comments section below. And then, let's wait for the next turn in this story: The media peppering President Obama for his reaction. (Should the president challenge Limbaugh to join him on the White House lawn for a fist fight to defend his wife's honor.)

Rush Limbaugh is a fat pile of slob. The First Lady could probably could lay him out flat in a boxing match. She looks incredible. Of course she's not going to be on the cover of SI. She's the f***ing First Lady. It's not her job to look like a model.
The key to health and nutrition is MODERATION. It's not like she's snacking on ribs 24-7. She obviously takes care of herself, so no, she's not a hypocrite. And, quite honestly, I've never heard her tell children to eat tree bark, but I guess fresh fruit and veggies tastes like tree bark to Rush, if he's even managed to shove one down his gullet in between bites of his porterhouse, scotch and oxycontin.

What a gelatinous blob of quivering racist fat the guy is.
Hook up that guy to a pipeline and his lard could light up Detroit through a long winter.
A vulgar person who if not on the radio would be just another prick neighbor airing his flatulence by his hot tub.

Who listens to this guy anyway? I think you've insulted your readers by actually publishing this. All he is is a "button pusher".

Something is wrong with him, something's wrong with his brain. The only redeeming factor to him and others of his ilk is that they remind the rest of us how NOT to behave as human beings.
It's no wonder he has an issue with Michelle Obama's obesity plan, considering his own girth.
Go away, Rush. Take your suitcase full of viagra, and prescription painkillers, like you were busted with in Miami a few years back, and just go away. Permanently.

The problem here is that Obama, and the rest of the USDA, have the basic premise wrong -> people don't get fat because of too many calories, or eating fatty ribs. People get fat because of too many carbohydrates, or eating sugary BBQ sauces all over otherwise healthy fatty ribs.
By starving our children of calories, and forcing them to do more physical activity, while not paying attention to the carbohydrates that cause problems with the hormone insulin, we needlessly torture them.
Imagine, would you take a perfectly healthy child, strap a 50 lb. weight to their back, and force them to do laps? Would you egg them on to "suck it up" if they started panting, and getting tired? Would you tell that child that they just need to eat less, and exercise more?
Stop eating carbohydrates. It's simple.

The President shouldn't challenge Rush to a fistfight. But a game of basketball would be in order. May the fittest man win.

Who's gonna listen to a fat junkie? Look at the picture of that fat overflowing in his chair. He wishes he was as in shape as Michelle.
Yeah America take your nutritional advice from the king of lard.

You can tell Rush Limbaugh knows nothing about nutrition or what Michelle Obama's stance is. She never said we have to be extremists to be healthy. He is being ridiculous. She has encouraged healthy eating and exercise. Eating in moderation means that if you exercise and eat healthy most of the time, you can eat ribs when you are out. Rush comparing her to the Sports Illustrated models is ridiculous! Michelle looks healthy and great for a 40 year old mom of two kids. I have a food blog and know what it means to eat healthy but I also post recipes of desserts and treats. But I also exercise and I am not over weight. I think Rush should do a little more research before he opens his mouth the next time!

While I think that Rush is a total blowhard, I have thought similar things about Michelle Obama before. We can outlaw all sorts of foods and promote all the fitness programs in the world, but it all comes down to self-control. I just know that when someone preaches to me about fitness and eating healthy foods, that person better be pretty damn good looking...I would never want to look like Michelle Obama.

Lim-Bore is just trying to make news. Lets see his fat-ass do a few laps.
