Combo Plate: Missing the Minimalist, flash mobs, glitter tattoos and more
Good news, bad news, sad news: Mark Bittman is retiring the Minimalist column in the New York Times after 13 years. That's the bad news. The good news is that he is moving to the paper's opinion section, where he will write a weekly column tackling food policy, sustainable eating as well as diet and health issues. He'll also launch an opinion blog. While congrats are in order, we're sad we can't expect to see his byline most Wednesdays.
