Where are those L.A. Times holiday cookie recipes already?
Here's an update on where we are with the recipes from the first ever L.A. Times Holiday Cookie bake-off: Today is our Food production day -- the section lands on your doorstep Thursday -- so the editors, copy editors, designers and photo editors are putting the finishing touches on everything right at this very moment.
Who cares, you say -- just give us the darn cookie recipes already!
Well, we are trying to do just that. We have a noon deadline for the Food section, and expect to get all the cookie recipes posted by 2 p.m. (if not sooner.) In the meantime, I can give you a glimpse of the winning cookies, above.

I hope you will give us a blurb, in the print edition or online, on each of the bakers! Please add that value to your story-- bring it home for us please! By their comments to this posting already, I'm excited for my fellow Angelenos and would love to hear more about them.

When I worked in publishing and lavish, over-the-top gift food packages flooded editor's offices during the Christmas season, the biggest hit by far was always a box of homemade cookies made by an author who was a fabulous baker.
This collection of Christmas cookies from top sources includes healthy, gluten free and delicious classic recipes:
