Have you voted? No, I’m not talking about the race for California’s governor, or who we should send to the U.S. Senate. I’m talking about the other election: The L.A. Times Holiday Cookie Bake-Off.

You have until Nov. 15 to enter your favorite holiday cookie in the race. Click here for more details. (Photos are not required, but they are a welcome addition.) But don’t just enter -- vote! And get your friends to vote. And your friends’ friends ... you get the idea. You can vote up to 10 times a day, each day. (Don’t think of it as promoting your cookies like a politician racing toward election day. Look at it as spreading some much needed holiday cheer and sharing your family’s favorites with the rest of us.)

Monday’s featured cookie entry: the Pumpkin Chocolate Chunk Cookies from Rachael Hutchings, better known in the blogosphere as La Fuji Mama and in the Twitterverse as @fujimama. So what makes these cookies special?

Says Rachael: ‘My mom started making us them when I was a little girl, and I can’t remember a year without them. They are super-moist and flavorful, and celebrate the wonderful combination of pumpkin and chocolate. I have carried on my mom’s tradition of making these cookies for my own children. I make them multiple times during the holiday season, starting in early October. We just can’t get enough!’

Thanks for sharing, Rachael.
