Wine and dine: Napa Valley Grille and Craft host wine-pairing dinners

Craft is featuring a six-course dinner and pairing of Paul Lato Wines on July 27. First course is lobster ravioli paired with his 2007 Chardonnay from Sierra Madre Vineyard; then comes braised mushrooms with the 2008 Gold Coast Vineyard Pinot Noir; guinea hen with 2008 Solomon Hills Pinot Noir; veal and honey-braised onions with the 2008 Fiddlestix Pinot Noir, and finally lamb loin with his 2007 Larner Vineyard Syrah, which will also be served with a chocolate custard tart for dessert. The same night, Napa Valley Grille is hosting a wine tasting dinner with Chateau Montelena. There will be pork belly, scallops and ahi with the 2008 Riesling, then chilled crab with cucumber with the 2008 Napa Valley Chardonnay, then roast duck and wild greens with the 2006 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and finally a New York strip with the 2006 Estate Cabernet.
