If you are all about wine -- and you know who you are -- here are four upcoming events celebrating all things vino:

-- The Sky Room in Long Beach is hosting a Pinot Noir showdown on Thursday. We like any wine event that can end in fisticuffs, so we will let the press release describe it: California is responsible for creating some of the best Pinot Noir. Help us judge which area is better on this night. Russian River Valley vs Santa Rita Hills. We will taste some of the best Pinot Noirs these great regions have to offer. You decide which area can proudly say ‘my Pinot can beat up your Pinot.’

-- The Coto de Caza World Class Wine Festival will be held June 12 and the California Wine Festival in Santa Barbara, July 15-17. Go to California Wine Festival for details on both events.

-- And V2.0 of the Ventura County Wine Trail Map is being unveiled later this month to highlight the county’s artisan, handcrafted wines. The map is a designed as a full-service tool for tourists and locals alike, telling them everything they need to know about wine tasting in the area, including the addition of five new wineries. A kick-off fete is scheduled for June 17 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the historic Heritage Square in downtown Oxnard.
