Hey, baby. Can I get a little sugar with that cereal? For every dessert fan’s inner Jerry Seinfeld, our friends at cupcake blog Cupcakes Take the Cake have compiled a list of cereal-themed cupcakes, including the above Rice Krispies treat that Ashley Weber, a.k.a. Miss Cupcake, created for an Iron Cupcake Milwaukee challenge (the necessary ingredient for that month’s throw-down: cereal, obviously). See Weber’s recipe after the jump, in case you’d like to make your own snacks go snap, crackle and pop!

1 1/2 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter
1tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 cup butter milk
1/4 cup sour cream
1 cup Rice Krispies
2 jars Marshmallow Fluff

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. In separate bowl, combine all dry ingredients. In another separate bowl, combine vanilla, sour cream and milk. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk mixture into the butter mixture. Mix until just combined.

Fill muffin cups 3/4 full. Bake for 16 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean. When cupcakes have cooled, top with marshmallow fluff and enjoy!
