Barnsdall's Friday wine tastings are back

Barnsdall 2 Barnsdall Art Park's weekly wine tastings return this Friday with a few twists. Tickets ($20) will no longer be sold at the door; instead, they'll only be available online before the event. And in addition to Let's Be Frank and Coolhaus, which both had previous residencies at the event, Mandoline Grill, Canter's and La Guera Tamalera will be providing nibbles.

The best way to enjoy the evening, though, is to bring your own picnic basket and blanket, sprawl out in the sunshine and sip on Silverlake Wine's unique selections. (They'll feature four different boutique wines each week.)

Folks can take a boozy tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Hollyhock House at 5:45 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 7 p.m.; tickets for the tours also need to be purchased in advance. All proceeds from the tastings and the tours go toward supporting Barnsdall's community arts programs and projects.

Barnsdall Wine Tasting, 5:30-8:30 p.m.; 4800 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles; barnsdall.org
