The Olive Kitchen & Bar: Details are sparse for the time being, but this upscale new restaurant in the former Boa Steakhouse & Lounge space inside the Grafton Hotel on Sunset Boulevard is now slated to open on May 12. The menu will become available next week, but for now reps are calling the fare ‘California Italian,’ which we assume means light and calorie-conscious meats and pastas. It’s been in the works for more than a year now and is under the leadership of owner Greg Morris (the Belmont, Spanish Kitchen and Oakfire Pizzeria). 8462 W. Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood. www.theoliveonsunset.com.

Tony’s Darts Away: Warner Bros. execs (and computer programmers) now have a new place to live it up with the opening of Tony’s Darts Away, a new craft beer bar and restaurant in Burbank. It’s dubbing itself the city’s first ‘bottle-less’ bar, which means that the extensive selection of more than 30 California craft beers are all on tap. So are the red and white wines. It’s a no-waste kind of system that anybody can get behind. So is the price: Most pints go for about $4.50. The food is sausage and more sausage, all made from California meat and served on locally baked buns or a low-carb bed of organic lettuce. Vegan options are also available. Also, did we mention darts? Yeah, there are lots of darts too. 1710 W. Magnolia Blvd., Burbank. (818) 253-1710. www.tonysburbank.com.
