--Susan Feniger's Street is hosting an April 7 tasting party to kick off Season 2 of Bravo's "Top Chef Masters." Attendees will be able to sample some of the fare Feniger will be dishing out on the show as she competes to raise money for the Scleroderma Research Foundation. The tasting party, which begins at 7 p.m., costs $25, and half of the proceeds will be donated to the research foundation. The East Coast feed of the show begins at 8 p.m. Pacific time. Regular dinner service is also available that night. Reservations required. www.eatatstreet.com (323) 203-0500.

--Take 5,000 pounds of Rice Krispies, add 7,000 pounds of marshmallows and you'll get....the world's largest Rice Krispie Treat? It's all part of a weekend-long fundraiser that wraps up Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at the La Cañada Flintridge community center, 4469 Chevy Chase Drive. The event will be filmed as part of a new special, "Mega Bites," to air on TLC later this year. From the news release: "La Cañada Flintridge is a community that has faced several uncontrollable challenges, ranging from devastating fires to unpredictable mudslides. Many of the community’s resources have gone to managing the impact of such events, and as a result, other programs have lost funding. In an effort to preserve the children’s art’s program at the Community Center, the close-knit city is getting creative with its fundraising tactics -- hosting a Carnival Fundraiser that will feature a variety of activities..." including the unveiling of the giant Rice Krispie Treat.
