Mixt Greens, Greens Up!, more Tender Greens ... so many new salad options

So many salad-focused restaurants have opened lately -- such as Mixt Greens downtown (which has plans to expand) and Greens Up! on Sawtelle Boulevard in West L.A -- it’s getting hard not to confuse them. Now Tender Greens, the mini-chain of fast-casual restaurants that focuses on locally grown and sustainable ingredients (heavy on the salads), is scheduled to open its fourth location this week in Hollywood at the corner of Sunset and Vine. Other Tender Greens locations are in Culver City, West Hollywood and San Diego. The Hollywood Tender Greens seats 120 and features an enclosed patio. The menu features salads, soups and daily specials. The restaurant will continue to collaborate with Scarborough Farms of Oxnard for daily fresh produce.
