Cube Marketplace launched its once-a-month sale Saturday at its downtown warehouse. In addition to gourmet food products such as Apicoltura Floriano Turco honey, Rancho Gordo beans and Matiz piquillo peppers, there were cake stands, vases, books, woven baskets, tableware and kitchen linens. (While some were shopping for Mud Australia tableware, in another part of downtown, thousands were waiting hours for the Flying Pig’s duck tacos and Ludo Lefebvre’s fried chicken.) Shoppers snacked on Cube’s house-made sweets such as miniature cupcakes or sipped Prosecco or coffee. Cube also has started to offer gardening and wine classes at the downtown location. Gardening classes take place on the rooftop garden. There are plans to increase the roster to include cocktail and cooking classes in the coming months, potentially beginning in March. Stay tuned.

Upcoming dates are March 13, April 17, May 15 and June 12.
