Are you a whiz in the kitchen? Think you can handle the smoldering heat of Gordon Ramsay’s galleys? If so, head out to this weekend’s ‘MasterChef’ casting call.

They’re looking for avid cooks who, up until now, have been purely hobbyists. The show will take the cooks through the process of formal training a la red-in-the-face Ramsay.

Applicants need to bring one room-temp dish to be served to the judges. (Sounds like that might result in a ‘Top Chef’ Season 6-style proliferation of ceviche.) The experts on the panel include Grace’s Neal Fraser, cookbook author JoAnn Cianciulli and Edible Los Angeles editor Lucy Lean. The show will be produced by 3 Ball Productions, which also handles ‘The Biggest Loser.’

Casting will take place on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sur la Table at the Farmers Market. You can find the complete details on the show’s website.
