Though foreign aid has arrived in Haiti, the saga is hardly over. ‘I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, and idle hands will only make this tragedy worse,’ Wyclef Jean stated on his blog. If you’re looking for a tipple, take action by wrapping your idle hands around a cocktail to help benefit the victims of the quake.

We mentioned Wednesday’s fundraiser event at the Edison in our last post, and received word of a few more happening around town:

On Wednesday, Ix Tapa Cantina, the new Mexican outpost in Pasadena, will throw a benefit concert with reggae bands Pachamama, the Guerilla Queenz and the Delirians. They are extending their happy hour for the event, which includes $5 margaritas, $3.50 well drinks, $2.75 to $3 draft beer and $3 appetizers. There will be a $5 cover charge at the door, 100% of which will go to the relief effort. The show starts at 9 p.m.

Thirsty in LA reports that the Doheny will be holding a benefit event tonight starting at 8:30, where Babycakes and Papa Cristo’s will be donating comestibles. There is a $15 suggested donation for attendees.

Barbrix will give 10% of their gross sales to Doctors Without Borders this Sunday, Jan. 24 from 5 p.m. til close.
