At Camp Gonzalez -- one of the county’s 22 juvenile probation camps or halls -- about 50 probation youths each year take classes in the culinary arts. Late last week, about a dozen of the best-behaved aspiring chefs catered an event for the L.A. County Commission for Children and Families, serving the county supervisors and other guests.
