Kay 'n Dave's comes to Culver City

Dave Kay 'n Dave's is building its fourth restaurant, this one in Culver City near Main Street on Culver Boulevard.

Dave Licht says he needs at least a month more before he'll be able to open. His restaurants -- in Pacific Palisades, Brentwood and on Pico in West Los Angeles -- serve Mexican food with no lard, no trans fats and fresh ingredients. Entrees range from $7 to $20.

Licht says he wasn't looking for a new restaurant space but saw an opportunity in the space that had been Pacifico's. The new Kay 'n Dave's will be in hot culinary company: Culver City is home to several popular spots, including Akasha, Ford's Filling Station and Fraiche.
