V-Day hotel getaways for Southern Californians

At the Crescent Hotel in Beverly Hills, it’s called the California Love package, just in time for St. Valentine’s Day. It’s also part of a number of hotels and travel deals being offered in advance of the upcoming Love Holiday -- if you act now.

In case you were wondering, or have a spare $415 (plus tax) lying around, the California Love package includes a king room with a bed strewn with rose petals, a five-course dinner for two at Boé Restaurant (starts with foie gras with pear compote and moves on to surf and turf of blackened halibut and rib-eye), and dessert for two served in your room with a Champagne toast.
