This Just In: DineLA Restaurant Week extended at many restaurants
The super bummer of a recession has caused restaurateurs to come up with all kinds of crazy deals to lure in customers. However, many of the 175 restaurants who participated in dineLA's Restaurant Week, which was officially scheduled to conclude today, found that the discounted, three-course prix-fixe meals that they offered allowed them to draw a steady stream of customers without a wacky angle.
In fact, Restaurant Week brought in so many customers that more than 100 of the participating restaurants have opted to extend the program through the end of the month. This includes hot spots such as Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood and the Bazaar by Jose Andres. Reps warn that there are blackout dates, and they vary from restaurant to restaurant, so you should check the "notes" section of the restaurant in which you're interested on the dineLA website. (Valentine's Day will probably be a black-out date at most places.)
Here's the original story on dineLA.

This is great news! I live in OC (but am from LA), so we've only been able to go to two restaurants for the promotion (Valentino and just yesterday, Gordon Ramsay). Will definitely take advantage of this extension. Thanks for the heads up!
