Thursday night was the first evening the Kogi Korean barbecue crew took its second truck out for a test run. So new is Kogi 2 that it hasn’t yet been branded. Rather than a Kogi sign or menu, it simply has its old taco truck menu on its side, (featuring burritos, cheeseburgers and the like). The new truck parked at a distance from Kogi 1 -- at the Japanese American National Museum in Little Tokyo, enabling two lines to form. But there was a catch: It was so rainy and wet that not many people were there. I waited about four minutes for a taco. Currently, Kogi is soliciting names from the public for Kogi 2 on its website.
