No more Sunday-night blues: If you’ve ever driven by Palate Food & Wine on a Sunday night, only to find out they’re closed then, you’ll be glad to hear that chef Octavio Becerra will be serving Sunday suppers (three courses for $35) beginning Feb. 15. More good stuff on Sundays: The Tower Bar at the Sunset Tower Hotel will begin serving family-style fried chicken, with all the fixin’s, starting this Sunday. Fried chicken nights continue every Sunday and Monday thereafter. It’s $25 per person and includes chef Janice Alexander’s fried chicken with green salad, vegetables and mashed potatoes. Encino burritos: Chipotle Mexican Grill plans to open its newest San Fernando Valley location in Encino this Friday. To celebrate, they will be giving away burritos (or an equivalent menu item, such as the burrito bowl) from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
