Cabbage Patch (the name is meant to evoke farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, as opposed to the Gucci Crew II circa 1987 or the chubby-cheeked dolls circa 1980, like the ones pictured, right, with Shaq) is now open in Beverly Hills.

Samir Mohajer, former chef of Rustic Canyon in Santa Monica, is offering a menu focused on organic Mediterranean-influenced dishes -- soups, salads, sandwiches, small plates and rice (white or brown) bowls. It’s an order-at-the-counter-then-take-your-number-to-your-table venue featuring nothing over $14. Some examples from the menu: jidori chicken wings with harissa; chopped salad with Fra’Mani salami and Onetik cheese; and a cheeseburger with Niman Ranch ground beef, applewood smoked bacon, Tillamook cheddar and wild arugula.

There is also a cabbage patch slaw.
