Palihouse Vine coming into focus for spring opening

January 5, 2009 |  3:11 pm

Palihousevine

Palihouse Vine, the new boutique hotel by Avi Brosh (the man behind Palihouse in WeHo and the Custom Hotel near LAX) is one step closer to opening.  Scaffolding came down over the weekend (parts of the hotel were visible last month, but not as much as pictured above) at 1717 N. Vine near the Capitol Records building, revealing a lovely shade of red and the hotel’s tagline written onto the front: “Home is where the heart is.”

Palihouse Vine, expected to open by May, will house both a restaurant and a lounge.  The restaurant, Hall Bar & Grill at Palihouse Vine, is still set to be run by executive chef Brendan Collins. Expect authentic high-end British pub fare with Italian influences. The Hall, the restaurant inside the Palihouse in WeHo, earned quite a bit of attention last year.

The bar portion of the forthcoming hotel will simply be called the Lounge at Palihouse Vine.
