A batch full of chocolaty bliss, yes. But the best ever?

Milk's double-chocolate cookies are definitely ooey-gooey. That's just one of the reasons why Meghan Rose of Los Angeles sent an S.O.S. for the recipe. (Times Test Kitchen manager Noelle Carter was happy to oblige.)

But are these the best cookies ever, anywhere? Meghan things so. But what do you think? If you've had better, we want to hear about it. All in the interest of research, of course.

And if there's a recipe out there that you absolutely must have, let us know that too. Noelle is always up for a challenge.

While not ooey-gooey, my favorite chocolate-chocolate chip cookies are Dorie Greenspan's World Peace Cookies. It's the good amount of salt and the delicate yet chewy texture that sets them apart!

The chocolate chip cookies at Vie De France (South Coast Plaza) are absurdly delicious. Thick, cake-like, with huge chunks of chocolate, these are pretty close to perfection. I'd love the recipe if Noelle can scrounge it up!
