Small Bites: Royal/T & Shin Korean BBQ extend hours, Morton’s offers free burgers

Even gothic Lolitas need to eat: Café/art gallery Royal/T in Culver City, known for catering to the artsy segment of the cosplay crowd, recently extended its hours and is now serving dinner (small bites like sesame ginger salmon salad, shiitake crostini, miso chicken skewers, smoked salmon canapés, yuzu shrimp bruschetta and more). Since early December, Royal/T has also been serving beer and wine. New hours: Tuesday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 8910 Washington Blvd., Culver City. A dash of K-town in H’wd: Shin Korean BBQ in Hollywood is now open for lunch (takeout and delivery only) with entrees such as Black Angus ribs marinated in Shin’s secret sauce; chicken breast or pork loin marinated in a traditional spicy red sauce; a spicy stew of tofu, vegetables and beef; and a couple others. 1600 Wilcox Ave., L.A. Free sliders: Nosh on free mini prime cheeseburgers Sunday -- but only from 5 to 6 p.m. -- at any of the 80 Morton’s the Steakhouse restaurants, in celebration of the chain’s 30th birthday. Chef change: Executive chef Chris Juers has left the Beachcomber on the recently re-opened Malibu Pier, and sous chef Page Moll has stepped in. Moll was previously the executive chef at Vista Del Mar, a school in Culver City for underprivileged children, where he taught cooking classes. Prior to that he was the chef at Venice restaurant 5 Dudley, which used to be in the space that’s been occupied by Piccolo Cipriani for about three years. 23000 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu. Champagne at Shutters: The Lobby Lounge at Shutters on the Beach lets you feel classy while getting drunk in the middle of the week. Champagne Wednesdays -- held from 5 p.m. to midnight -- feature a flight of five ‘luxury Champagnes’ that change each week, paired with hors d’oeuvres prepared by chef Michael Reardon. Examples: Villa Sandi DOC Valdobbiandene Cuvee paired with white anchovies with basil and cured lemons; Canard-Duchene Brut paired with duck prosciutto and fig marmalade.
