Little Dom's set to open adjacent takeout deli this month

Littledomsexterior2 December is shaping up to be an interesting month for Los Feliz residents who live near Hillhurst Avenue. A representative for Tangier confirmed reports that the restaurant is in escrow and in the midst of changes; meanwhile, Little Dom’s is expanding just a few doors down.

Little Dom's, which is still very busy despite a very real recession (especially on Monday evenings, when the restaurant serves up a prix-fixe $15 menu), said it plans to finally open its long-in-the-works takeout deli next door to the main restaurant, possibly as early as next week.

The takeout space, to be called the Deli at Little Dom’s, will likely open before Christmas, with a soft opening expected even sooner. The New York-style deli will serve pressed sandwiches, desserts and gourmet coffee. The deli will be open all day, allowing for fans of Little Dom’s to get their fix in the early morning hours (a limited breakfast menu will be served).

A few tables will be available both inside and out. A full menu is still forthcoming, but this is indeed good news for Los Feliz denizens.

Last night at Tangier is Dec 20. This was a fun place where I was welcomed as I had moved from the east coast. I'll be there to raise a glass on Friday and say thanks.
