Brooklyn Rider’s performances of Philip Glass’ five string quartets have more grit than polish, but this collection's one advantage over the classic Kronos Quartet recordings is the inclusion of a suite from “Bent,” a disquieting Holocaust film (with Mick Jagger in drag) made noble through the composer's music.
