"Austin City Limits," Saturday 9 p.m. and Wednesday 9 p.m. KLCS: New Orleans composer Allen Toussaint performs pieces from his album "The Bright Mississippi.''

"Great Performances," Saturday/early Sunday 1 a.m. and Sunday 12:30 p.m. KVCR: Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic -- The Inaugural Concert. Dudamel's debut as music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic at Walt Disney Concert Hall includes Gustav Mahler 's Symphony No. 1 and John Adams' "City Noir.''

"Chris Botti in Boston, Part II," Tuesday 7 p.m. KVCR: A continuation of the trumpeter's performance with the Boston Pops and conductor Keith Lockhart includes guests Sting, Steven Tyler, Josh Groban, and Yo-Yo Ma.

"Great Performances," Wednesday 9:30 p.m.: Harry Connick Jr. in Concert on Broadway. The Grammy-winner performs a mix of standards, show tunes and jazz classics, backed by a 20-piece swing band and 10-piece string section, at the Neil Simon Theater in New York City.

For those of us who don't live in San Bernardino or Riverside, it would have been helpful if you identified what KVCR is rather than making me Google it. I suppose the same thing could have been said about KLCS — unless you live in LA you probably don't know the call letters.
