Gustavo Dudamel with Vienna Philharmonic in free live webcast from Lucerne
At the moment, however, Dudamel is working with the Vienna Philharmonic in Europe, where he will conduct a concert on Saturday at the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland. The concert will be webcast for free at www.medici.tv starting Saturday at 7:30 a.m. PT.
If you don't feel like getting up that early on a weekend, the concert will also be available for 90 days of free VOD (video on demand) viewing at www.medici.tv.
The concert will include the same pieces that Dudamel and the orchestra will perform at New York’s Carnegie Hall in early October. The program will feature Rossini's overture to "La gazza ladra," Orbón's "Tres versiones sinfónicas," Bernstein's "Divertimento for Orchestra" and Ravel's "Pavane pour une infante défunte" and "Boléro."
Founded by Hervé Boissière, Medici.tv is an online destination site that provides video of classical concerts by world-class orchestras from around the world. The site is operated by the French company MUSEEC.
