Kristin Chenoweth to celebrate New Year’s Eve at Disney Concert Hall

Tony and Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth will ring in 2011 with two New Year’s Eve shows at Walt Disney Concert Hall. She will perform songs from her albums and Broadway musicals as well as a variety of classics as part of the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Deck the Hall holiday series. Currently, Chenoweth is starring with Sean Hayes in the Broadway revival of ‘Promises, Promises.’ She also recently returned to the Fox series ‘Glee’ with a guest appearance as boozy April Rhodes.

After making her Broadway debut in ‘Steel Pier’ in 1997, Chenoweth received a 1999 Tony Award for playing Sally in ‘You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown’ and a 2004 Tony nomination for playing Glinda in ‘Wicked.’

Besides ‘Glee,’ Chenoweth’s television credits include her Emmy-winning work as waitress Olive Snook on ABC’s ‘Pushing Daisies’ and a recurring role as media consultant-turned-deputy press secretary Annabeth Schott on NBC’s ‘The West Wing.’

She also has appeared in movies including ‘Bewitched,’ ‘Running With Scissors’ and the 2006 version of ‘The Pink Panther.’

A classically trained opera singer, Chenoweth is a concert and recording artist with a repertoire that includes pop, Christian music and show tunes.

The New Year’s Eve shows will begin at 7 and 10:30 p.m.
