It looks like Sarah Jessica Parker will be having a busy summer, with two major screen projects scheduled to open within several days of each other.

The actress will star in ‘Sex and the City 2,’ which opens on May 27. She will then unveil her new reality show, ‘Work of Art: The Next Great Artist,’ which is set to debut on the cable station Bravo on June 9 at 11 p.m.

‘Work of Art’ is the creation of Parker’s production company, Pretty Matches. The show will feature 14 artists competing against each other for a $100,000 cash prize and a solo show at the Brooklyn Museum.

Organizers of the show said Thursday that for each episode, contestants will be tasked with creating unique pieces of art in different media, such as painting, sculpture and photography.

They hinted that possible challenges include ‘using a trash heap as their canvas’ and ‘creating original cover art for a classic novel.’

The judging panel will feature three art-world big shots: Bill Powers, a New York gallery owner; Jerry Saltz, art critic for New York magazine; and Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn, the owner of Salon94 gallery in New York.

Model and socialite China Chow will serve as another panelist as well as the show’s host. Simon de Pury, the renowned art auction executive, is expected to put in an appearance as a mentor to the contestants.

Last summer, producers of the show held open casting calls in L.A., New York, Chicago and Miami. (The L.A. tryouts took place at LAXART.) The application instructions for potential contestants said the show’s producers were looking for ‘emerging or mid-career’ artists.
