Jerry Seinfeld will perform an evening of stand-up comedy to benefit the Reprise Theatre Company at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.

‘Jerry Seinfeld Live!’ will be hosted by Jason Alexander, Reprise’s artistic director, who played George Costanza on Seinfeld’s hit NBC series.

After the series’ nine-year run ended in 1998, Seinfeld returned to stand-up comedy with a week-long show in New York followed by appearances around the country. He also wrote, produced and provided the voice of the main character for the 2007 animated film ‘Bee Movie.’ He is executive producer of the new NBC reality-comedy show ‘The Marriage Ref.’

Since it was founded in 1997, Reprise has revived classic Broadway musicals through full productions and staged readings at the Freud Playhouse at UCLA. Alexander starred in Reprise’s first production, ‘Promises, Promises,’ and has been the company’s artistic director since 2007.

Proceeds from tickets, which go on sale March 15, will benefit Reprise and its efforts to provide arts education programs for underserved communities.
