Normally, celebrity sightings aren’t Culture Monster’s métier. Frankly, they’re too commonplace and just a bit déclassé for a culture blog. But truth be told, we never say never, and as such, we couldn’t resist following up on a recent sighting of actor Robert Pattinson at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

As was first reported Tuesday afternoon by an E! Online blogger, the 23-year-old star of the ‘Twilight’ movies was spotted at LACMA with actress Emilie de Ravin for what was said to be a future Vogue photo spread.

‘I’m told editors at the fashion bible are planning a multipage spread of the twosome for the mag’s annual Power Issue,’ wrote the blogger.

Photographer Norman Jean Roy reportedly shot the pulchritudinous stars in several locations throughout the museum, including interior and exterior setups, according to the blogger.

LACMA did not immediately respond to a request for confirmation.

It would not be the first time that the museum has served as a destination for movie or TV stars. Vanity Fair recently photographed cast members of Fox’s ‘Glee’ in front of Chris Burden’s ‘Urban Light’ installation, which is located at the main entrance to LACMA.

(Does Conde Nast have a special discount rate with the museum?)

Looking way back, the museum served as a set for ‘L.A. Story,’ in which Steve Martin roller-skated through the museum’s galleries. LACMA was also featured in Robert Altman’s ‘The Player’ in a party scene for the museum’s film program -- which, ironically, LACMA currently has on its chopping block.
